Digital Loyalty Card for Coffee Shops: Replace the Paper Punch Card
A digital loyalty card for a coffee shop replaces the paper punch card with a card stored in the customer's Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The customer scans a QR code or opens a link — no app to install — and the card lands in their phone's Wallet. From then on, every visit is counted automatically, all the way to the free coffee.
Why replace the paper punch card?
Paper punch cards get lost, forgotten in another wallet, or thrown out with the receipts — and the coffee shop learns nothing about the person holding one: who they are, how often they come, or when they stopped coming. With a digital card, the card lives permanently on the customer's phone, in the same place as boarding passes and event tickets, and the shop builds a real customer club: a name, a language and a visit history for every member. Joining takes one QR scan by the register: the customer fills in a few details, the card is added to their Wallet, done. Nothing to download, no password to remember, no card left at home or in another coat pocket.
Points per visit — and the tenth coffee free
With מועדון שלי you can award points per visit — exactly like a punch card — or per amount spent. For a coffee shop, the visit model is the simplest: every visit counts as a digital stamp, and when the customer reaches the goal you set (say, the tenth coffee), a Wallet notification tells them their reward is waiting. At the register, your staff scans the customer's QR code with the merchant app (iOS) and the visit is logged in seconds. You can define several rewards at different milestones — a croissant after five visits, a coffee after ten — and the card updates in real time, so the customer sees right on the card how many visits are left until the next reward.
A push notification when the customer walks by
This is the one thing a paper card will never do: a card stored in the Wallet can show a proximity notification when the customer is near your shop — roughly 100 m on Apple devices and about 150 m with Google Wallet. Your card appears on their lock screen right as they pass the door. The system also sends automatic Wallet messages: a welcome after signup, birthday greetings, a nudge to customers who haven't visited in a while, and an alert when a reward is reached. You can also message the whole club at once — a rainy-day deal, a new drink on the menu — and each message is automatically translated into the language of every customer's card, across nine languages.
What it costs and how to start
Setup happens on arnaksheli.com: design your card, print the QR code and place it by the register. Pricing is ₪150 per month per business, with a 14-day trial. Chains with several locations manage all branches inside one club, and you can add team members with scan permissions at the register. Rewards, messages and card design can be changed at any time from the dashboard. The merchant scanning app (iOS) is currently under App Store review. Israel also has established loyalty platforms such as Simply Club, ValueCard and TISMO; the difference in מועדון שלי's approach is that the customer installs nothing — the card lives directly in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Does the customer need to install an app?
No. They scan a QR code or open a link, and the card is saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Only the merchant uses an app (iOS), to scan cards at the register.
How much does it cost for a coffee shop?
